Situated South of Cancun and on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, Playa Del Carmen is one of the main popular holiday resorts in Quintana Roo in Mexico. Playa Del Carmen, also referred to as just 'Playa' hosts some fine quality beaches and activities for holidaymakers. Playa Del Carmen Mexico is situated within what's known as the Riviera Maya (Mayan Riviera) which is the area between Cancun in the North and Tulum in the South, along the Coast of Mexico adjacent to the Caribbean Sea. In fact, Playa Del carmen is ideally placed as a base to explore the wonders of the Yucatan Peninsula and the Riviera Maya with all this area has to offer. If you like watersports, windsurfing, fishing and boat trips to Cozumel to see marine life are also popular.
